Booking Through Thursday: Do-Over

This week Booking Through Thursday ask:
Have you ever bought a book, started reading it and then realized you have already read it? If so, how far did you get? (Can you tell this happened to me for the first time ever this week!?!)

And–did you keep reading??
I don't think this has ever happened to me.

But if it did, whether or not I continued to read would depend on how far along I was into the book before I realized that I had read it before and how much I remember.

If I had just started reading it and was only on about page 20, I probably would stop.  Because that means that I remembered enough of the book to realize that I have already read it.

If I was about halfway through the book I would continue to read because that means that I don't remember that much of the book.

What about you?

  1. First off, let me thank you for visiting me this morning.

I have bought books I've read before, therefore, I created a blog to help me keep track of the books I've read.

  7. I enjoy re-reading but usually I choose to re-read. I picked up a book early this year and realized about Chapter Two that it felt familiar because I had already read it. It hadn't been long enough so I stopped.

I did wonder if I was reading a second copy though.
